Yep, so you’re there at the gates of Hell – situated directly in the background of the five-reel, three-row grid, with steam and fire shooting out at the sides of the reels. Well, it’s not a game about rainbows and puppies is it?! You’ve got symbols on the reels depicting all of the characters from the Divine Comedy – Dante, Beatrice, Virgil, Dis, Angel, Geryon, Skiff and a human tree, among other symbols.

The wild is an obvious symbol, and it substitutes for all other symbols on the reels except the bonus and scatter symbols. If a wild symbol contributes to a winning payline then your winnings will be doubled, and all wins are multiplied by the stake bet.

Hell will freeze over in the bonus feature, which is triggered by landing 3 or more bonus symbols on a payline. And it will literally freeze over. Up to 5 wild reels will be added to the screen, and after paying winnings, any regular wild symbol will turn into a wild reel. You’ll be granted a respin, and these wild reels will stay in place – this will keep going until there are no more wilds.

The gates of Hell acts as the scatter symbol, and if you land 3 or more of them on the reels then you’ll trigger one of three free spin features: Inferno, Purgatory or Paradise.
