Avalanche feature

Forming winning combinations are the key to landing the Avalanche feature. The successful symbols disappear before allowing new symbols to occupy the reels. A new row also appears. Avalanches can unlock up to 8 rows, i.e., 262,144 ways to win in total.

Charged Wild

This wild starts with 4 lives. Charged wilds can land on the game area and lock in position for an entire sequence. Each time this symbol participates in a winning combination, you lose a life. The wild disappears from the grid if you use up all your 4 lives.

Wild Forge

If you land the Wild Forge, it can fill any blank positions with a multiplier wild. The multiplier value increases every time the Wild Forge completes a win. In addition, there is no limit to how high the multiplier can rise. If the Wild Forge drops to the bottom, it becomes a wild multiplier.

Laser feature

If laser symbols land, they shoot out beams of light that destroy themselves and other regular symbols in their path. This motion may allow more symbols to slip into the blank spaces. Our Thoughts

When we first opened up the Io slot, we thought, nice, this is different! However, we are not quite sure if that's good or bad.

Sure, playing a slot game with a different set-up than the standard 5x3 reel slots was refreshing, but we were hoping for something more spectacular than clear graphics and a good soundtrack.

We were lucky enough to land the Free Drops Feature, but the flashing laser beams in the background were a bit too much for us. We give Io a 5/10.
